Load Balancing Windows Media Live Content

This service is for Live Webcasting Windows Media Content requiring load balancing capabilities that are essential for deploying scalable and robust streaming media applications. Evenly distribute your content to enhance availability for high load usage.

This service should be added if you expect a large number of simultaneous logons to listen or view your content at the exact same time. There is no need to use this service if your logons will be spread out over long periods of time..

To Engage This Service to Your Account(s) - Cost of Load Balancing:
You must have an active Live Webcasting Account then you will need to open a ticket requesting load balancing added to your service.

Cost of Load Balancing Your Live Webcasting Windows Media Content:
There is a $50 additional cost for engaging the Load Balancing System. The number listeners you have will be split evenly between the load balanced servers.

Please Note:
Utilizing more than one server for load balancing a live webcast requires that an upload and download connection for each server be engaged. Each of these connections is as if you are having two listeners/viewers connected to your event. For each server that is engaged an additional two listeners/viewers per server will be connected to your event. The bandwidth usage for each set of these two connections will be added to your bandwidth usage. If your event is a one time event please remember to shut down your encoder directly after your event to close all connections to all servers. If you do not close down your encoder connections will continue to incur cost as the system will continue to use the bandwidth. Client understands that they are 100% responsible for all bandwidth costs incurred.
