In SolusVM control panel you have full access to your virtual machine. There are many functions this panel simplifies for you.
Please login to your panel, you should have received the login details in the email we delivered your VPS information.
Once logged in, you should see a page similar to the one below.
Click on manage button (marked with red color).
Here you can see your virtual machine details and status. There are 5 buttons on this page, all marked with red dots. let's see what each of these buttons do for us.
1. Serial Console
Serial console gives you direct access to your server, it's like you are sitting behind the monitor of your server. This option can be very usefulif some thing goes wrong and you are
not able to access the server via SSH.
You require JAVA runtime environment installed on your computer to have this feature run. Click on Serial Console Button and you should see a page like below:
Click on always to let application load and run , enter your password and get access to your console.
2. Reboot
As the name suggests iteself, this button will reboot your virtual server , click on it and select Yes on the pop up window . You should see a success message on the next screen (Virtual Server Rebooted!)
3. Shutdown and Boot
If you need to turn off your server for any reason and boot it up again , use these two buttons, simply click on them and confirm your decission.
4. Reinstall
This option can reload your virtual machine with your preferred OS, there are a wide range of operating systems available for you to choose.`
Click on Reinstall button and go to the next page , select your OS and click on Reinstall button at the bottom of the page , confirm your decission and click yes.
You will get system message regarding your request :
Installation has been started. Please allow up to 10 minutes for it to complete.

Next select your linux edition by clicking on the right circle
Click on Reinstall button then select Yes on the Pop Up window
At the end
Your VPS is ready with a fresh operating system installed on it.

On the control tab at the bottom of the manage panel, you should see some other tools and options starting with:
Hostname
Change your server Hostname directly from this tab by putting new hostname and clicking on change button , it will effect immediately
Root Password
You can change server Root password from Root password tab by entering new password and clicking on change button , it will take effect immediately as well
Console Password
Here you can change the password for Serial Console panel. Enter your new password and click on change.
Network
On the network tab you can change your Reserve DNS, but this option is currently disabled by Admin. If you require to change this, please contact [email protected]
API
You can connect your management panel to the third parties. To do so, please select the API tab and click on generate button
it will generate API Key and API Hash , you need both of them for third party applications .
to disable API access you need to click on disable button .
Statistics
You can check your server statistics by choosing preferred time frame.
